My interest in firearms began as a child with hunting and shooting. In 1993 I enrolled in the Gunsmithing Program at Trinidad State College in Colorado where I learned firearm repair, bench work, stock making, and machining.
After graduation I was hired as a gunsmith at Connecticut Shotgun Mfg. in New Britain, CT. I was able to work with skilled Gunmakers from Ferlach, Birmingham, and Brescia.
In 2003 I became a correctional officer with the Berkshire County Sheriff's Dept. I eventually became the Department's Armorer and Firearms Instructor. In addition, I also worked part-time for Pete's Gun Shop in Adams, Massachusetts where I worked for 15 years as a gunsmith.
In January 2024 I became a member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild, an association that promotes the art of custom gun making. I created and hand carved two rifles from walnut blanks that were presented to a panel of judges in Dallas TX. I was blessed to be accepted into a group of gunmakers that are considered the best in America.
In 2024 I opened Greylock Gunworks LLC in Pittsfield Massachusetts which will allow me to continue my passion for custom gun work and gunsmithing.
